Title: Darkness and Light
Characters: Yazoo, Kadaj, Loz

Yazoo and Kadaj sleep curled together like kittens, on their sides with their knees drawn up and their heads resting in the hollow between each other's stomach and thighs. In a rare moment of thoughtfulness, Loz once likened them to yin and yang, touched their hair and their cheeks and stared at his fingers afterwards as if some of them might have been transferred to him. But Kadaj hated the comparison because Kadaj believes they're made of light, beautiful and so bright there's no room for darkness.

Yazoo wonders, sometimes, if they're really made of anything but dust and ashes.

I hereby declare May the official Month o' Drabbles. The goal is one drabble (consisting of exactly 100 words) per day, starting May 1st and ending May 31st. I'm also doing this for Harry Potter. It was Reno who noticed first, falling silent mid-sentence as he openly stared at the doorway.

Rude waited a few seconds before investigating. Anything bad enough to make Reno stop talking was sure to be horrifying. Finally, when nothing exploded and no shots were fired, he slowly turned to look. Green eyes immediately darted in his direction and he physically recoiled.

"Whomever is responsible for tampering with my shampoo," Sephiroth declared as he gestured to his formerly silver hair, now electric blue, "would do well to start running."

There was a muffled squeak as Reno leapt from his chair and fled the room.
